Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Strictly Mission started in Horsham, PA in 1997 and moved to its present location a year later, in June of 1998.
What is your primary product or service?
We carry an extensive line of mid-priced antique and period Mission and Arts & Crafts furniture and home furnishings. In addition we make new furniture in the Mission, Arts & Crafts, and Prairie Styles. We are also a distributor for 4 companies that specialize in new and reproduction complimentary lighting.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My passion for this style of furniture comes from my exposure to it as a child. My house and that of my mother's parents was furnished in this type of furniture. In fact I still have my grandfoather's Lifetime morris chair that was purchased in 1912.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the only company I know of that sells both period furniture and new furniture. Our custom furniture tends to be those pieces you won't find in period pieces: Rectangualr dining room table, coffee tables, TV cabinets, end table, and queen and king size beds.
